Cut corners : Daily English Expression

 Cut Corners

Hellowelowelowelowelooo............

Holla guys are you ready for today's English expression.............??
Today's English expression is "Cut Corners". This expression means to do something the easiest or the cheapest way rather than doing it the best way with the most quality. It is the same as taking shortcuts and it is not considered to be a good thing to do.

Now read to the dialogue below between two friends talking about a new house. Read closely to the expression "cut corners" !!!

Ayu            : "So, I moved into my new house yesterday."

Listiani       : "Nice! how does it look?"

Ayu             : "It's not bad, but needs a lot of work."

Listiani       : "Don't try to cut corners when you're decorating it! It'll cost you more in the long run"

Ayu            : "Yeah, I completely agree with you. I am going to make sure I do it right."

Listiani       : "Cool! Let me know if you need a hand."

So, Remember we use "cut corners" to describe an action that was done the easeast or cheapest way instead of doing the best way. This is normally  seen  as a negative thing to do.

Okayyyy guysss, that's all for today.........................
